11/16 - 2011 Fall Quarter Sports Portfolio

Another final project of mine, and the second one for Sports Photography (busy busy busy time of the year!)

This project is pretty straightforward. My best sports work from 2011 Fall Quarter. I'm sure you have seen most of them before, but I edited a few more photos to make them a little bit better.

11/16 - For the Love of Water

So for my final assignment for the Sports Photography course, I had to create a feature story on an athlete or a sport.

I picked swimming and decided to follow one of my best friends, Ken Love, around and try to show his passion for the sport. After following him around, I realized that he isn't really the best swimmer on the team. He just loves to swim. He just enjoys being on the team and compete in what races he can get in. I guess you could compare him with me and my love for baseball. Not the best player, but just enjoy being around the sport itself.

11/16 - CGI Project

This was one of my final projects for the People Photography course for this fall quarter. The assignment was to partner up with a student from the CGI class and try to create an image together. Basically, I take a picture, while my cgi partner add stuff to it.

I had two partners for this assignment, so that means I had to take two separate images, one for each partner.

The whole thing was pretty interesting. I somewhat had a tough time handing over my image to my partner and let them do whatever they wanted to do with the image because it feels like they aren't doing what I see in my head. But I did it anyway and both of my partners did a great job and I think the images came out pretty awesome!

The purpose of this image was to show how overwhelming people can be with the social media today

This CGI environment is similar to the interrogation room from the film Bladerunner

Special thanks goes out to Josh Upton for volunteering his time to take part this project.

The only little gripe i have is that Josh looks a little too small in the second image, but I still think the environment itself is awesome though!

11/8 - Extra Sportrait of Skip and CJ

Here's the Sportrait that I'm printing out for my People Photography class. I decided to redo the couples assignment (the one with my father and uncle) for a better grade so I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone when I did these photos for Sports Photo as well.

11/3 - RIT Baseball Portraits

Remember I said that I was getting addicted to doing sportraits? Well....I'm officially addicted now. I love it. I love doing them. I love making the athletes look like they're god-like figures in a dramatic environment.

So for this assignment, I'm sort of killing two birds with one stone, where two of the photos will be for my Sports Photography class, while the last photo will be for my People Photography class.

Special thanks goes out to CJ Bolorin and Skip Flanagan for being part of this!
